WWF-Korea의 Business & Policy Director는 온실가스 배출의 대부분을 차지하는 산업분야의 Net-Zero, ESG 강화 등을 통해 지속가능한 비즈니스로 전환시킴과 동시에 기업들이 WWF가 집중하는 전 세계 우선순위 자연보전 프로그램에 재정적으로 기여할 수 있는 파트너십을 이끌어내는 역할을 담당하게 됩니다.
The Business & Policy Director (“B&P Director”) plays a pivotal role in developing and implementing a comprehensive conservation vision for the organization in South Korea. In this key leadership role, B&P Director is responsible for driving WWF’s engagement with businesses, governments, and other stakeholders to advance policies and initiatives that promote sustainability, conservation, and biodiversity. This position involves providing strategic leadership, engaging extensively with the WWF Network’s conservation leaders and experts, fostering and managing relationships with corporates, driving engagement, and executing programs to enhance our corporate partnerships, and spearheading initiatives that align with WWF’s global goals while considering local context that address climate change, biodiversity loss and pollution challenges.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
I. Strategic Leadership;
Provide strategic direction and leadership for WWF's business engagement and policy advocacy efforts, aligning them with organizational goals and priorities.
- Ensures effective design and implementation of the Strategic Plan, and engaging other relevant WWF Network offices as needed.
- Set overall directions for WWF-Korea’s impactful conservation efforts, coherent with the WWF-Korea, and the WWF's Global Conservation Programme.
- Ensures effective monitoring, evaluation and adaptive management of the WWF-Korea strategic plan, providing real-time information for programme managers, members and other key stakeholders.
- Develop holistic action plans that prioritize key issues such as biodiversity conservation, nature restoration, and mitigation and adaptation strategies for climate change impacts
- Implement and oversee the execution of these plans, ensuring measurable impact and adaptation as needed
II. Corporate Partnerships;
Develop and nurture partnerships with businesses, industry associations, and other stakeholders to promote sustainable practices, drive innovation, and mobilize resources for conservation initiatives.
- Develop and implement strategies to identify, cultivate, and maintain corporate partnerships aligned with organizational goals.
- Act as the primary point of contact for corporate partners, ensuring excellent communication and relationship management.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized partnership proposals and agreements that meet the needs of both parties.
- Drive the execution of partnership programs and initiatives, overseeing all aspects from planning to implementation and evaluation.
- Monitor and analyze partnership performance metrics to assess effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities to optimize partnerships and programs.
- Prepare regular reports and updates for stakeholders on partnership activities, outcomes, and impact.
- Represent the organization at networking events, conferences, and meetings to promote partnerships and expand the network.
III. Advocacy and Corporate Partnership Leadership;
- Develop programs/activities to influence policies and foster corporate partnerships for conservation, biodiversity, and sustainable development.
- Serve as the primary contact to create and lead advocacy programs and campaigns
- Lead and create process improvements for departments across the organization to collaborate and engage advocates
IV. Strategic Collaboration:
- Build a new externally-focused stakeholder strategy, and strengthen the management of key relationships in line with the organization's aim.
- Maintain close relationships with top level manager/executives in various sectors including corporates, government, and NGO.
V. Undertake additional responsibilities as requested.

Qualifications & Experience
- Fluency in English.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Environmental Policy, Public Administration, International studies or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 15 years of professional experience includes 3~5years of working at the executive level in business sustainability, environmental policy, corporate social responsibility, or related fields, with proven management and leadership abilities.
- Deep understanding of environmental issues, conservation challenges, and sustainable development goals, as well as the role of businesses and governments in addressing them.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective advocacy and engagement strategies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders, including business leaders, policymakers, and civil society organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural and interdisciplinary team environment, with a commitment to WWF's values of Courage, Integrity, Respect & Collaboration
Working Relationships
Internal:
Reports to Executive Director and collaborates with senior management team and team leaders.
Liaises with WWF Global Practices and other offices in the Network.
External:
Engages with conservation bodies, stakeholders, and supporters to advance WWF-Korea goals.

모든 포지션은 계약직으로 시작하며, 평가에 따라 계약 연장 및 무기계약직(정규직) 전환 가능
